The standard program for transferring files across the Internet is called FTP.
This is used to establish the connection to a named remote computer and then,
by typing simple commands, files and programs can be transferred across the
network.
The ftp> prompt will appear - you should give the command 'open'
followed by the Internet name of the site or machine you wish to connect
to.
