To access your VNC session, you can either use the java viewer running as an applet in your browser (this is the default), or you can run the standalone viewer which is available for a (small) number of platforms.

Using the viewer can have some benefits - it's small and fast, and allows you to use any browser regardless of whether it has java support, or to shut down your browser completely.

You can download the viewer from the RealVNC pages.

(You can also download the server from RealVNC. You don't need the server package to use VNC, you just need the client.)
